Confident Boating is
Fun Boating

From buying your boat and launching it; from boat safety and operation for the entire family; through dock and maintenance advice or being your captain for the day, Ted the Boat Guy is there for you.

We're here for you

Getting Your Boat

Want a sounding board... somebody who knows a lot about boats when you're choosing what to buy? especially used boats. Ted can be there for you. Need help backing the boat trailer into the launch area? Ted's a whiz at that.

Boater Safety & Confidence

Based on the best accredited programs around, Ted will cover all the bases so you can truly enjoy your boat and you can relax when your spouse or progeny are out on the water without you. Ted has worked with a lot of teenagers.

Your Captain Awaits

Tired of having to be the one in charge of the boat all the time. If you just want to take in the scenery, Ted would love to take the helm.

Boat Security & Maintenance Tips

Ted will set your dock up for your boat to make coming and going so much easier. He'll let you know what routine maintenance you should know about. A little TLC goes a long way in extending the life of a boat.

TED THE BOAT GUY

Ted Littlejohn has been messing around with boats since he was zooming around the cottage bay for hours on end as a five year-old.

He was a captain on a tour boat on the Rideau Canal. He’s sailed from the Bahamas to the U.S. , paddled many a canoe trip, built and restored many boats… Ted IS the boat guy.

He's taught boating - power, sail and paddle - to thousands of kids, teens and adults over the years at summer camps, Power Squadron and programs for at-risk youths. (Yes, he will enjoy working with your teenagers.)

For the last few years, Ted worked for a boat rental company in Gravenhurst. He met lots of people who wanted his help as a captain, as someone who could show them how to operate their new boat and those who wish they didn't have to teach their own spouse or kids the safest and least destructive ways to get around on the water.

Ted's putting himself out there because he absolutely loves boats and people and putting them both together.
